During the summer break in Spain, we took the chance to reflect and evaluate how the project and the world may change because of the new coronavirus situation.
We had planned the project activities physically and we were expected to go to Varna (Bulgaria) in September as well. But this new normality situation we are facing made us re-arrange our local and European plans. While this has brought us some challenges, it also helped us to be resilient and see new opportunities. We took the chance to adapt to the new circumstances and tried to think about the benefits of meeting online. Having a positive attitude towards it !
As such, this summer we took the chance to connect with youth and climate online initiatives and create synergies! On 1st July we attended the Virtual Dialogue on the Role of Youth in Climate Action organized by the UNFCCC online where we tool the chance to let the speakers and audience know about the EYES project. Later on, we also engaged in the Online Gathering for Climate & Social Justice organized by Young Friends of the Earth to listen, for instance, to the European New Green Deal thoughts by young people.
We are really looking forward to our busy September, October and November months and going to these online events inspired us with ideas for the project meeting!
Will keep you posted !
